Hey everyone, things have been crazy busy in my household for obvious reasons, but it's been awhile since my last Sonic scoop, so it's time for another one, I figure. Here's a tiny update on Sonic Origins: - The development of this thing has been a total mess. There's been quite a few starts and stops, but they finally have things going at a constant pace now, development seems to be going well, last I heard.  -Sonic 3 is a full on remake, like the Retro Engine games before it. -It's being made by a very, and I mean, verrry small team. I could count the number of people involved with two hands. The team assembled is very capable though. -The game will feature QOL updates, such as the Drop Dash in CD and 3&K. -The music situation is exactly the same as before. Don't expect the MJ music to show up here.  -There's been talk about a special collector's edition of some sort, but I'm actually unsure if that's gotten off of the ground or not. -It wi...

Welcome back. I got some articles ready to drop, but not much is going on right now. Time to drop another bomb. We have many more Persona announcements coming, including a surprise eighth announcement. Here's number four, it'll be starring an unexpected character... That's right. Akechi is going to be starring in his own game.  You're going "No fucking way. He's kidding, right?"  I'm not. Tons of details are scarce at the moment, but I've been told to not expect an RPG, it'll focus on his adventures and skills as a star detective. I'll update this article when I have more to share. 

Hey all, I apologize for the long wait for this article (Trust me, I've seen the impatient folks that have been waiting for this, I'm sorry!)  Two reasons:  1.   Hey, everyone, Happy Tuesday! We have a milestone to celebrate, but that'll come in the very next article. Let's talk about that incredible Direct. I'll be honest, outside of E3, that might now be my favorite Direct, ever. I've watched it 15 times or so now. There were so many cool announcements and so many genuine surprises. My fucking jaw literally dropped. I  could not believe what I was seeing. When I first heard about this new Mario sports game a few months ago, I figured "Well, it'll probably be baseball, that's cool, but..." Fuck that. My dream came true, I got the one that I wanted, and it looks fucking incredible. Hey everyone, okay, I'm sure you know the deal on how this works by now.  I'm gonna run through some predictions, let's get started.  Splatoon 3 Date: I strongly believe that this will happen. We'll get an overview of the game's base content, including more of the campaign, and then the release date. I'm predicting this will be June.  Advance Wars Date: This is another one that's almost guaranteed to be here. I'm genuinely looking forward to this and I'm loving the visuals for these remakes. Given how much content both games squeezed into those two GBA cartridges, 60 bucks is real good value. April release. No Breath Of The Wild 2: I know some fans will be disappointed, but I don't think Zelda has even a small chance here. They're playing the waiting game and they'll use June as their opportunity to do a full blowout of the game.   Ya know, sometimes I really, really don't understand Nintendo, as a company, or as a developer. This is one of those times. 1-2 Switch is one of the most dull, lifeless, forgettable games I have ever played, and yet, it's getting a sequel for some reason. It sold well, I think? Usually when I do a scoop, it's usually a game I'm interested in. This is not one of those games.  This year really is going to be 2017-2, isn't it?

Well, here we are, a new month, and it's time to do what we do every year, overhype a video game commercial. But seriously, yes, I'm hearing that the first Direct of the year will take place this month and could be as soon as next week. This week is being ruled out because of Nintendo's imminent financial briefings. Let me go out and say it... It's gonna be a big one.  I'm not sure of the content at this point in time, but it's safe to assume that Kirby And The Forgotten Land, Splatoon 3, Advance Wars 1+2, the heavily rumored Xenoblade 3, and a new Fire Emblem title will likely be featured in this one. Nintendo has a metric shit ton to talk about, so I expect some huge bombs to be dropped in this presentation. Also, if you made Super Bowl sized money bets on this new Mario Kart not being real, you're going to be out of a lot of money. Start your engines. For those who didn't want to scroll through all of my predictions for this year, this is for you.  What I've heard:   I've heard that there is another Mario sports game in development. This time developed by Bandai Namco, who's last installment in the world of Mario sports was Mario Sports Superstars for the 3DS, where they handled the Soccer and Baseball sections. I do not know the sport that they're tackling at this very moment, but my personal prediction would be a new Mario baseball game.  The big one. This is the 30th anniversary of Nintendo's most popular series, and they're planning to celebrate it in a big way, apparently. What I've Heard: This new game will feature more guest characters and tracks than the previous Mario Kart game. Breath of the Wild 2 Will Release In November: Some people will never believe it, but I strongly believe that the much anticipated sequel to Breath of The Wild is nearing completion and will arrive in stores in time for the holiday season. I predict a full blowout in June. Unless something catastrophic happens, I believe this actually is a pretty safe prediction. First Look At The Mario Movie:  Can you smell it? Direct hype season has once again arrived, and with it, the first Direct of the year is approaching. I predict in this early year Direct that we will get a peek of the of Mario movie. Not a trailer, but character designs, renders and concept art. People will be surprised with how faithful and on model Illumination's take on the cast of characters actually is. Part 3, here we go!  Let's try this again. Apologies for the long wait and the issues. It's been a long day.  Some of these are absurd, so hold on to your butts. Sly Cooper 5 Is Coming:  As was reported last year, a long awaited new installment in the beloved Sly Cooper series is in development. I predict that'll be announced in a Sony showcase this year.  Additionally, it'll be a soft reboot not made by Sucker Punch, but it'll be closely monitored by them. I think a 2023 release is very likely.  Kingdom Hearts IV Will Be Announced: Haha, just as I was finishing these up, the Grubbster drops his scoop.. This year marks the 20th anniversary of Kingdom Hearts. It's obviously going to be a big deal, following off of the heels of Sora being in Smash. I believe the game will start after another time skip, with the gang still searching for Sora. The trailer will be all CG, and vague as possible. Sora, Riku and newcomer Yozora will all be playable in this installment. ...
