  Here we are, another Sonic anniversary is quickly coming and going. It's still not over here in Hawaii, so I'm enjoying the last bit of it here. Some things dropped so i figured I talk a bit about them.  Sonic Origins Release:  The day has finally come and a new Sonic compilation has graced us. It's pretty much what I expected. Just kidding, no, this has a lot of problems, on the programming side. The Headcannon team did a wonderful job with 3&K, just as I expected them to. The game looks absolutely amazing on the big and small screen. I know the music has been a big point of contention, but I was told about this well in advance, so it hasn't hampered my enjoyment. The story mode is the obvious main attraction here and I've been immensely enjoying that. They're all amazing to look at and the team at Powerhouse went above and beyond with the animation here. Hey, I'm on vacation, and this past weekend, I enjoyed my first Father's Day as the father of a newborn, so I decided to take a break. I'm back, with a scoop.  I've gotten word that Donkey Kong's next adventure from the crew at EPD Tokyo has gone gold.  They are currently sitting on the game, though I'm not sure for how long it's been finished.  Nintendo has a big direct next week, will they announce it there? I genuinely don't know, Nintendo can and has sat on many games for quite a while. All we can do now, is hope, and wait.  Let's manifest this together so we can see, and hopefully be playing DK's next masterpiece ASAP.

Well, there it is.  Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden and Persona 5 Royal are going multplat. I actually don't have that much to say, I'm just happy that it's confirmed, and I'm happy a lot of people seem to be happy.  Don't worry, Nintendo and Sony fans, your time will come. They're coming to your platforms, too.  Update:  Well, there it is again. They're coming to PS5 and Steam. Update 2:  For clarification, Persona 3 and 4 are coming to Switch. Hey, another Sonic post. What a weekend this has been, from Sonic Frontiers leaking (Don't worry, I'll get to it!), Sonic fans losing their minds at the tiniest of things, to moronic Twitch streamers going at it, to the massive amount of speculation that's building over the next week, there's a lot going on.  With that said, we finally got confirmation on the music situation regarding Sonic 3&Knuckles, and it's just as I heard to be.  This is upsetting a lot of people across the internet, and all I've got to say is uh...too bad? I made that post well over a year ago, people have had more than enough time to prepare for this possibilty.  To quote my favorite grumpy, goalpost-moving douchebag, Overlord, this was becoming "blatantly obvious" the closer we got to release, given how quiet they were about this.  This was the only way this release was going to happen. What's that? You want some more disappointment? Someone in my comments kindly asked for another Frontiers scoop. Sure thing. You know those fabled "Cyberspace Levels" you keep hearing about? I hope you guys liked Sonic Generations then, because all of the Cyberspace levels that are featured in Frontiers are from that game. There are no new level tropes, from what I gather. Asset reuse and nostalgia pandering, woohoo!  Update:  I can't believe I have to even say this, but it needs to be reiterated. It's going to be the assets of the Generations levels that's being reused, not the full-on level maps themselves. It seems some people thought I literally meant the exact same levels, no, of course not. Hope that makes things more clear. Hey, I didn't say the scoop would be good news, did I? 

Well, that certainly was something, I guess?  This was bad. Really bad. Nothing outside of TMNT, SF6, Callisto Protocol, games I was already excited for, interested me. I don't care about Call Of Duty, I don't care about Warhammer, I don't care about Humankind, and nothing about seeing them here changed my mind. That was another problem, the lack of variety. It was literally shooter after shooter, sci fi horror game after sci fi horror game. It got tiring, really fast. Everything blended into one another after awhile, I just about checked out an hour in. Ending on the remake of Last Of Us. Okay...? Who asked for a remake of this game? It's not even ten years old yet. June has arrived. We're in the busiest time for gaming news, and with that, a Sonic Central popped out of nowhere.  Here's my take:  Wuh...what the hell was that?  It was a rundown of Sonic Origins, which was something we already knew all about, an announcement that the concert tour was going global, which is cool, merch, a literal frame of a scene from an admittedly cool sounding animated prologue to Sonic Frontiers, another small teaser for Sonic Prime that confirmed that Shadow will appear in the show, and lastly, an awful, short segmented teaser for Frontiers, that once again doesn't tell us what the damn game is about.  That's it? Really? This was awful. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. It was mercifully short, but it doesn't change the fact that it was a waste of time. Like, why did they even bother? Oh man. Oh man. Oh man.  This has taken over the internet, so it's time to give a quick thing on this.  June 1st was supposed to be an exciting day for Sonic fans. It was not. It was very much the opposite.  We had the hype of a well edited, exciting looking teaser the day before, and then this video was given to us the day after. Needless to say, it didn't go well. At all.  I was deflated. This was a disaster, to say the least.  I genuinely don't even know where to begin with this. Like, wow. I'm actually astounded by how badly they fumbled this up. It's a video of Sonic just...running. It doesn't tell or show you  what to do or where to go. There's no goals here. It's just...aimless. There's totally a goal and things to do, but this video doesn't illustrate any of that to us at all.  I'm not gonna mence words. This was absolutely embarrassing to witness.  SEGA had one chance to make a great first impression here, and they fucked this up, b
