Yes, Shadow Generations Is 2024's "Traditional Sonic Game."
Well, would you look at that? We have our game announcement. Way earlier than we expected.
Gotta say, that's one of the coolest, slickly edited trailers SEGA have ever done. Shadow just being smoothly edited into that re-rendered CG was fantastic. Very Smash like.
Anyway, yes, this is indeed the game. A couple wires got crossed, but all of the details I previously heard line up.
To reiterate:
-Being developed by Sonic Team and SEGA Sapporo.
-Shorter length, traditional Sonic game. Should be around 2-3 hours.
-Will release around the time of the third movie.
-Yes, this is coming to Nintendo's next console.
-Also, new animated shorts from Powerhouse Animation are being made to coincide with the game.
There's more Sonic announcements to come before too long, console and mobile wise, more on that soon.

He has gotten other information correct such as Powerhouse making the Origins cutscenes before they started working with SEGA on Sonic stuff, the remasters getting a console/PC port, Frontiers getting delayed from 2021 to 2022, amongst many other reports he's made.

On top of comparison vids proving that notion wrong, that's also not how ports work. HE2 is just a graphical engine.
Also, try to come up a good excuse to how he knew who's helping with the port. They didn't get the extra help for Colors Ultimate before they opened the studio the following year. (But honestly should have)
It seems they're making all the right calls. Changing the approach to releasing this game. I know Headcannon said that they couldn't delay the Sonic Origins so I am glad they learned their lesson.

Meanwhile, this was known in advance that the 2024 Sonic game was a Sonic and Shadow focused title along with other tidbits such as who's involved with it. That was without knowing what the game was named or what it actually was prior the second post.
But you can go ahead and question those other insiders why they didn't just leak the name ahead of time without citing about insider morals.

Superstars is indeed a modernized version of Classic Sonic gameplay formula and it's just like how we had new 2D sonics in the 2000s. For God's sake, the first Advance game was seen as a return to old school Sonic, it's like you missed the point hard.

I'd love to make an entire video/document on all of the wrong details/leaks he's made, while giving credit to what he has genuinely gotten right. DeleteI haven't read all your replies here (a bit busy with other stuff, hehe), but I just wanted to say that I have also been going through all of his posts in this blog ever since he got banned from the GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit for that Chrono remake post. A lot of people in the comments just badmouthed him WITHOUT ever being able to provide any concrete, properly fact-checked proof of his credibility, even when asked, so I set on the journey on my own to compile 'em all and hopefully post the findings online for others to see and perhaps contribute further :)
But that took WAAY more time than anticipated, and certain things have been really difficult and time-consuming to vet, like his Persona spin-off game and Fire Emblem claims, which got a bit too convoluted for me to properly digest and fact-check, so I got through most of 2021 and 2022 claims, with a handful from 2020, and have been procrastinating for 2023 and onwards as the task got too monumental 😅
I'm still hoping to finish it one day. As a programmer, I've also been thinking of making a simple page where the claims can be posted publicly and further contributed by anyone. And I've also been thinking about a "credibility score system" where certain claims are given more weight than other, minor ones, resulting in a "total credibility score" for Zippo. Yeah, the project got too ambitious and thus out of hand, no wonder I've been stalling it for months now 😅
With all that out of the way, what I really wanted to say is that I admire your proper fact-checking and backing your claims with sources ⭐ I would really love to somehow collaborate, and/or see your compiled findings, if you're willing to share. I *need* constructive criticism as being stuck in my own bubble won't help much with the fact-checking.

DeleteHaha tysm!! I've never been a fan of people over the years just rewriting leaks to fit their bills no matter who it was. It's always been a slippery slope when trying to listen in on leakers. I think your idea is pretty damn good, as we need to actually keep track of what's been right/wrong opposed to memoryholding whatever fits someone's agenda. I'm pretty sure Vergeben had a document lile that a couple of years back, so one for Zippo isn't a bad idea.

So glad we have Frontiers now, this short level boost gameplay style and endless nostalgia stucked series into the bog.
