The Next 3D Mario Is Ready To Go.

 


2024 is here, and after an insanely long six years of waiting, I'm now hearing that the next 3D Mario, set to launch with Nintendo's brand spankin' new console, was finished over the holiday season. This is standard Nintendo practice, many of their big games are done well before release.


As was said before, this is EPD Tokyo's first full attempt at an open world game, and the game is said to look "Absolutely jaw-dropping".


I can confirm a few other new things as well:


Donkey Kong will appear in the game in some form. I'm unsure if he's playable, a boss, or an extended cameo of some sort. Given how Mario and DK have appeared as a pair in pretty much everything as of late, which includes the movie, LEGO sets, a remake of Mario Vs. DK, and now in theme park promotions, it only makes sense to continue that trend. 



Luigi, Peach, Captain Toad and Pauline will all appear as well, though I'm unsure what roles they'll play in the game. 


The other, much bigger detail is that the game is freakin' massive. The game's world is at least "FOUR TIMES LARGER than Odyssey's environments COMBINED" . Holy crap. 


The craziest part? You're going to be playing this game in 9-10 months. I'm psyched out of my mind here. It won't be too long until Nintendo starts to give details about their next console. Just wait a bit longer. We're almost there. More soon.

    Interested to see how Mario handles the open world idea. Maybe it'll give SEGA and Sonic Team something to take note of when making the next open zone Sonic game.

    Generally speaking I prefer small locations with a lot to do in them. For all of their attention on places like Peach's castle or Isle Delfino makes the places more memorable than the 3D Mario games that came after.

    Need some more insider details on Sonics next game. It appears the Frontiers FB page is teasing Adventure heavy today. They're story post was literally just an image of Emerald Coast

  Sigh. I hate this type of stuff. Genuinely. Drama is something that stresses me out. I'm simply sharing information here. Nintendo Direct Watch Season Begins NOW.

We're starting 2024 with a bang. Didn't expect that, did ya?  Yup, I'm hearing from the usual sources that Nintendo is planning a Direct to air this very month. It could air from this coming week, to the end of the month.  Expect this to be "cleanup" for the Switch. Nintendo has been pretty silent since September, so expect more details on Paper Mario, Peach Showtime and a few other things. There's still a few surprises left in this old thing.  They have an obviously insane   of them, so it's smart to get Switch stuff out of the way earlier than usual this year.  Stay tuned here for more.

Mario Kart X Will Release In 2025.

Now that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's Booster Course Pass has finally come to an end, in spectacular fashion I might add, now the question being asked is "Well, what's next?"  Well, I finally have some more insight on that. The tenth (no, not ninth) installment of the Mario Kart series will release in 2025, which will be Switch 2's second year on the market. The intention is to release the title sometime before the system's second holiday on the market.  The title is being developed primarily by Nintendo EPD Production Group 9, with Bandai Namco Studios once again co-developing.  Additionally, Nintendo are sparring absolutely no expense with this game. This is apparently one of the most expensive games Nintendo has ever put into production. The next 3D Mario title is said to be "absolutely dropping" and this apparently looks even better.
