Friendly Reminder That A New Star Fox Game Is Coming.



Hey, remember how I said in 2022 that a new Star Fox game is in development?


I have an update. But first, here's some interesting findings. 


Code for this new Star Fox appears to have been in Switch Sports this entire time, it's gone widely unreported on for some reason. 



Next, a trademark was filed for Star Fox last month, on December 19th, in Brazil, of all places:




Finally: 


Star Fox was given an entirely brand new trademark last November as well. Why is this interesting? Because it's a new trademark, it's not Nintendo renewing it or anything like that, which is what they usually do in these situations.

As for my own information, here's a few new details.


-It's actually being developed internally. This is the first time Nintendo has taken the reigns of development since 1997's Star Fox 64.


-It apparently is a sequel to a previous Star Fox game. Not a reboot. 


-Online multiplayer will be a big part of the game's promotion. 


-Will come to Nintendo's brand new console, though there is a chance that it's a cross generation release. 


-Is set to release within the next 12 months. 


So there you have it, a brand new Star Fox is on the way, this time from Nintendo themselves. Will they knock it out of the park? We certainly hope so. More details when I have them.

    Happy to see this series is not going to end on a bad note with Zero. I am happy for the people who've been clamoring for a new Star Fox game.

      It was kinda said seeing people beg for a port of Zero instead of a new game. Look, i know the $witch was an absolute port machine, but not everything has to go on it. It's like when Other M came to WiiU VC with a heaping 50% off coupon as a last ditch to salvage the game.

      Can you also talk about the other filings for different franchises over the past few years? From what I remember there is an Earthbound and Startropics filing in 2022, among a few others. Last year there was a Solar Striker filing as well.

      I got a feeling they moved it up to the Switch 2's launch window, if they're working on it this long, it probably became a full remake at this rate.

    Any new news about the direct? January is almost over. Will the direct be in early february or do you still hold on to january?

      Considering other insiders heard of a direct but no exact date or month, feels like it was an safe assumption it'd come late winter.
      I would believe a Direct is coming before Pokemon Day if the Nintendo Direct back in February 2021 was anything to go by.

  Sigh. I hate this type of stuff. Genuinely. Drama is something that stresses me out. I'm simply sharing information here. Nintendo Direct Watch Season Begins NOW.

We're starting 2024 with a bang. Didn't expect that, did ya?  Yup, I'm hearing from the usual sources that Nintendo is planning a Direct to air this very month. It could air from this coming week, to the end of the month.  Expect this to be "cleanup" for the Switch. Nintendo has been pretty silent since September, so expect more details on Paper Mario, Peach Showtime and a few other things. There's still a few surprises left in this old thing.  They have an obviously insane   of them, so it's smart to get Switch stuff out of the way earlier than usual this year.  Stay tuned here for more.

Mario Kart X Will Release In 2025.

Now that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's Booster Course Pass has finally come to an end, in spectacular fashion I might add, now the question being asked is "Well, what's next?"  Well, I finally have some more insight on that. The tenth (no, not ninth) installment of the Mario Kart series will release in 2025, which will be Switch 2's second year on the market. The intention is to release the title sometime before the system's second holiday on the market.  The title is being developed primarily by Nintendo EPD Production Group 9, with Bandai Namco Studios once again co-developing.  Additionally, Nintendo are sparring absolutely no expense with this game. This is apparently one of the most expensive games Nintendo has ever put into production. The next 3D Mario title is said to be "absolutely dropping" and this apparently looks even better.
