Nintendo Are Planning 25th Anniversary Celebrations For Super Smash Bros.



Hello all, welcome to December, or should I say..

Zippcember. 


You like gifts? You'll be getting some from in the form of scoops all month as long as part of the holiday season. 


First off, this is actually the first ever Smash Bros. scoop that I've ever shared on my blog. Which is actually hilarious to think about. 


As you fine folks no doubt know, a certain humongous franchise is celebrating it's 25th anniversary in about a month and a half. Nintendo are apparently planning, and to quote the sources here, "Announcements, celebrations and events to commemorate the anniversary of Smash throughout the year." 


The one thing that's already been ruled out is a new game. The next Smash Bros is something that's been planned in some way right now, but that's not gonna be for a bit.  


Now, what it could be? 


Let's speculate. 


Some possibilities:


Smash Bros. Concert Series:



Oh my word, you guys have no idea how hyped this would get me. I would go insane. This would absolutely be the perfect way to celebrate a quarter century of Smash Bros. The Sonic Symphony has been awesome and that's been what's inspired this idea in my head. This is honestly the thing I want the most, not gonna lie. If this actually happens, I'll be there no matter what. 


NSO Release of Smash 64:




This seems pretty likely. Nintendo still hasn't released Smash 64 on NSO as of now, so it's gotta come at some point, right? Unless...


More Ultimate DLC:



Uh, nah. I can't see this one happening. From all accounts, Sakurai and co. wrapped up Smash Ultimate over two years ago and they're not going back. While anything is possible, this feels like the least likely option. The next Smash isn't all that far away, so I don't think this is gonna happen. 


Also, a Rollback patch isn't happening, don't even think about it, LOL. 



Smash Remasters: 



This could totally be a valid possibility. 


Spruced up, HD versions of Smash 64, Melee and Brawl are something that's been rumored in places that, but that's not a rumor I can currently back myself. Nintendo has been remastering a crap ton of GCN/Wii era games lately so it's not impossible. Given that none of those three titles are currently playable on any modern Nintendo systems, I think this is the most likely option here. 


Melee HD would destroy the entire internet as we know it. 


Those are just some possibilities. What do you guys think? We'll see how this goes.

    Seems pretty cool! There are a bunch of bangers in the smash bros ost library, so it would be interesting if they would be able to do versions of third party tracks.

    I think this series is fine ending with Ultimate. Maybe in the future Nintendo could give it a rollback patch and performance enhancement for Ultimate.

    The idea of new characters got old for me anyways, going the Power Stone route with 3D arenas doesn't seem that interesting either. Since they will continue the series no matter what, I think they'll cut back on the number of characters and focus on features and modes.

    The hope they keep the characters that the fans wanted the most like Banjo and Sora.

    Didn't Kit and Krysta say in their youtube show that a Melee remaster was never happening and was on Nintendo's "don't ever bother" list with Mother 3 for multiple reasons?

    I understand they're ex-employees, but considering they're saying all this as if this was in the mindset of Treehouse and the rest of NoA abd Nintendo Co. Ltd....

    They made a good points on their video too.

  Sigh. I hate this type of stuff. Genuinely. Drama is something that stresses me out. I'm simply sharing information here. Nintendo Direct Watch Season Begins NOW.

We're starting 2024 with a bang. Didn't expect that, did ya?  Yup, I'm hearing from the usual sources that Nintendo is planning a Direct to air this very month. It could air from this coming week, to the end of the month.  Expect this to be "cleanup" for the Switch. Nintendo has been pretty silent since September, so expect more details on Paper Mario, Peach Showtime and a few other things. There's still a few surprises left in this old thing.  They have an obviously insane   of them, so it's smart to get Switch stuff out of the way earlier than usual this year.  Stay tuned here for more.

Mario Kart X Will Release In 2025.

Now that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's Booster Course Pass has finally come to an end, in spectacular fashion I might add, now the question being asked is "Well, what's next?"  Well, I finally have some more insight on that. The tenth (no, not ninth) installment of the Mario Kart series will release in 2025, which will be Switch 2's second year on the market. The intention is to release the title sometime before the system's second holiday on the market.  The title is being developed primarily by Nintendo EPD Production Group 9, with Bandai Namco Studios once again co-developing.  Additionally, Nintendo are sparring absolutely no expense with this game. This is apparently one of the most expensive games Nintendo has ever put into production. The next 3D Mario title is said to be "absolutely dropping" and this apparently looks even better. The game's visual fidelity is said to be a very high priority for them, meaning the game is gonna look good, damn goo
