Nintendo Direct Prediction Time!

 

Hi! Alrighty! The fabled Nintendo Direct is no longer a fable.

Hope everyone's having a great night.  

A certain site and their evil, shitty, hateful staff got their just desserts. So, we're definitely in the best timeline. 

Anywho...

It's less than 24 hours away, so let's get it going. This will work like previous prediction articles, so without further ado...

 

Rational Predictions:

Govnah:

- "Fall Guys will launch later this year but if you're a member of NSO, you can claim a free Mario Fall Guy Skin when the game launches."

Rivers:

-"WarioWare: Get It Together! Free Updates are announced. The first update releases shortly after the presentation, adding 13-Amp with 25 new minigames focused on Music, and adding more new Prezzies".

Romeo: 

"Hey everyone. So, Direct predictions. So starting off I think we’ll see a few new nintendo exclusives revealed for the first quarter of next year, since that’s what they use their fall announces for. Seemingly lined up for then is Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and a fire emblem remake, so while not super huge, you’ll like it if you like those series. There’s also a chance of us seeing something on splatoon 3 but I don’t know that for certain. On the other hand we have third party games from publishing partners like EA, Capcom, blah blah blah, like that. I’m not sure what to expect there besides some ports and things like that, but I imagine that if the Diablo 2 remake is featured then that might not end very well for nintendo. As for smash ultimate, I don’t know, they’ve kept everything with FP2 very well hidden, so you really can’t guess, especially when nintendo’s deliberately choosing characters to surprise us with. If I had to guess, it’ll probably be a pokemon or something instead of a really exciting character like master chief or crash bandicoot. Only in the next game..."

Mykonosfan:

"Hmm, if I had to throw some out... 

There's been enough smoke for me to think Xenoblade Chronicles 3 probably gets announced here. We see more Mario Party, and some other shoe will drop that makes people annoyed with the game. Advance Wars Remake will show off AW2, and then the game's store page will quietly update to reveal that only 2 players can play a match online together (instead of the 4 that you'd expect). No Breath of the Wild 2. House of the Dead remake will either shadow drop or get a release date that's close."

 

Zippo:

-Third party wise, I think there will be an update  Sonic Origins, showing off the first actual footage of the collection in the action, as well as a release window and a special edition.

- I think the Castlevania GBA Collection will finally be announced and will release in October, right before Halloween.

- Klonoa 1&2 Remasters will finally be announced and will release this holiday.

-I think new DLC/Updates for Mario Golf Super Rush and Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity will be announced and will immediately drop after the presentation.

- I believe another character for Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania will be announced. This time, I'm gonna go with Nights. 

- Splatoon 3 Single Player Trailer. The game will get a release date set for Spring. 

- Mario Party Superstars update. Two new boards shown. One will be Woody Woods from Mario Party 3, and the other will be Western Land, from Mario Party 2. As a twist, in the MP2 boards, the characters will all dress up in their board appropriate getups.

- Advance Wars 1+2 update as well. A much better look at both games, as well the confirmation of brand new chapter, set after Advance Wars 2. I also predict it will launch with a brand new Amiibo featuring Andy in a tank.

- Game Boy NSO will launch tomorrow. It'll feature Super Mario Land, Donkey Kong '94, Game and Watch Gallery, Mole Mania, Wario Land 1, Wario Land 2, Kirby's Dream Land 1&2, Wave Race, Metroid 2 will all be launch titles for the service.

Raio:

First Party:  

- Nothing Kirby or Star Fox is coming for awhile.

- Last Smash character is a third party.

- Prime 4 (not that anyone is thinking about it thanks to Dread lol) is still quite a ways away but will probably get a trailer here soon, showing off Retro's work so far.

- Arceus and BDSP are not getting delayed.  they will be right on time.

- New Fire Emblem is right around the corner.  Probably a remake.

Third Party:

- Treat Bayo 3 like a fever dream that never happened.

- Rabbids 2 is probably getting a new trailer pretty soon, so that's nice.

- Deltarune Ch 2 is going to console soon I'd imagine, including switch."

Big Boy Predictions:

"- Donkey Kong is soon, but likely not 2021.  I'd bet very early in 2022 though.

- I wouldn't hold your breath for BotW 2 being in 2022.  It may happen, but there are a lot of murmurs going around about a delay."

Jonathan the Epic:

"- Yakuza 0 is going to come to Switch.

- There will be a new Kirby game of some sort.

- There will be a major Animal Crossing New Horizons update.

- I think Wind Waker AND Twilight Princess will be announced tomorrow. Early 2022 release."

Govnah:

"- The legend of Zelda: Collection of Oracles. A ground up remake of the two classic Oracles games. Featuring QoL features and more. A new double pack Amiibo featuring link holding the rod of seasons and a link holding the harp of ages will launch the same day.

- Rhythm Heaven Forever. The new entry in the rhythm heaven franchise. Including a new legacy mode that brings fan favorites from the Megamix collection."

Rivers:

"- A Lego Super Mario game is announced for the Switch. It is developed by Nintendo Software Technologies, and be a puzzle game where you have to figure out how to get Mario or Luigi from point A to B by using course system pieces from the actual Lego Super Mario line. It will also feature a puzzle builder, with online sharing. Releases soon.

- Vanillaware unexpectedly shows up, announcing Switch ports of Muramasa Rebirth, Odin Sphere Leifthraiser, Dragon's Crown Pro, and 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim. Atlus does not appear themselves. They will all be digital only for some reason.

-"Fire Emblem Echoes: Geneology of the Sacred War and Fire Emblem Echoes: Fog of Thracia are announced, both being remakes. Geneology will be released Early 2022, and Thracia will be released Late 2022. A dual-pack special edition will be released alongside Thracia, and there will be an amiibo 3-pack of Sigurd, Seliph, and Leif released."

Benjamin:

"BUNNY GETS INTO SMASH!"

Macs:

"Either Cinderace, Adol Christin, Phoenix Wright, or Reimu Hakurei is the last character for Smash Bros. Ultimate. Count on it."

Zippo:

- I will go out and predict that Batman Arkham Asylum and Batman Arkham Knight will come to Switch in a double pack. Early 2022.

-DMC: Devil May Cry DE will be announced for Switch. Everyone, including my buddy AshadowLink will go "FUCK YOU!"

 

- The Fire Emblem game that's going to be remade is....

Genealogy and Thracia 776! A two in one remake would make a lot of people happy. Roy's game will come next, safe to assume. 

- Xenoblade 3 will be announced with a lengthy, meaty trailer and will release in Spring of 2022.

"Are you fucking insane?" Predictions:

Govnah:

- "Soul Calibur 2 HD Definitive Edition: The classic fighting game returns to Nintendo Switch featuring all characters for the SC2 roster including Link for the first time since the gamecube. This truly is the DE of SC2."

Raio: 

- Prime 4 (not that anyone is thinking about it thanks to Dread lol) is still quite a ways away but will probably get a trailer here soon, showing off Retro's work so far.

Rivers:

- "The Ace Attorney" is announced, a full reinvention of the Ace Attorney series featuring an entirely new cast. It will be played in fully 3D rather than as a visual novel, with you fully controlling the new Ace Attorney investigating crime scenes and talking to witnesses in Los Angeles. Court segments will have more ways to solve cases than just the obvious ones, with branching paths in cases leading to new truths and revelations revealed. It will be written and directed by series creator Shu Takumi, and feature all hands on deck from both the main Ace Attorney team and The Great Ace Attorney team. A collector's edition of the game will come with an amiibo of the new protagonist. Releases Summer 2022 as a Nintendo Switch timed exclusive.

- The last Super Smash Bros. Ultimate newcomer is revealed. It is Cadence from the Crypt of the Necrodancer. She will have a rhythm based mechanic, making you time your movement and button presses to do more damage. She will come with lots of indie game mii costumes, including The Knight from Hollow Knight, Zagreus from Hades, Shovel Knight, and Kris from Deltarune, all coming with a single music track."

HawK:

"I predict that Breath of the Wild 2 will not only get its title revealed, but it will be showcased alongside a story trailer, giving us a glimpse of the game's deeper narrative. 2022 is reaffirmed."

 

Mykonosfan:

"My wildcard prediction is like, 20 seconds of Metroid Prime 4 to try to throw those people a bone. All in all my expectations are really low so I'm in a great place to be wowed or completely whelmed haha."

Zippo: 

- N64 NSO will launch TOMORROW! Launch games will include, Super Mario 64, Pilotwings 64, Crusin' USA, Ocarina of Time, Mario Kart 64, Star Fox 64, Bomberman 64, Super Smash Bros., Pokemon Puzzle League and Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. Games that are multiplayer will feature full online play. A full recreation of the N64 controller will launch as an NSO exclusive set for November.

I'll sweeten this by saying that Nintendo will announce that Rare games will come in future updates.

Banjo Kazooie, Killer Instinct Gold and Diddy Kong Racing will be the first three Rare titles on the service. But that's not all...

Let's go further...beyond.

- Nintendo will also announce that GBA NSO will launch before the end of the year. Initial titles will include Super Mario Advance, Metroid Fusion, Kirby's Nightmare in Dream Land, Fire Emblem 7 and Sonic Advance as some of the initial lineup.

- I'm gonna go for a big one and say Smash will finally end on a banger. Master Chief will be the last character for Smash Ultimate. Will launch in November.

Last two predictions. Here we go.

- This heavily rumored 2D Donkey Kong game will finally make an appearance. Odyssey level visuals. David Wise will return as composer.

 King K Rool is back to his tricks and it's up to DK and his family to take him down. Donkey, Diddy and Dixie will be the initial playable characters revealed. Will launch in 2022.

- I think it's finally time. I predict that Kirby is about to finally make his full debut into 3D. It'll be a semi linear action game. Will look stunning and will shock many with how impressive it looks. Will launch in 2022 as a part of Kirby's 30th anniversary celebration.
