Zippo and Friends' Disastrous E3 Prediction Extravaganza (Part 1)

Hey all, the big predictions article is here! Today, we'll be predicting what to expect at this year's E3 2021 show. All non-Nintendo predictions will go today, while Nintendo predictions will go up Sunday. I have many friends and guests joining us today, so please give them a warm welcome. I thank them all very much for coming on and joining me.

Do note: None of my friends here have any inside information whatsoever. They have just came on to give fun predictions. Do not give them any shit whatsoever for any of the predictions they make, or else. I'm watching the comments, closely.

Anywho, here's how this will work:

We'll have a section for "rational predictions" then and chaos predictions".

Let's get started!

My friend and fellow Texan, Tyler AKA Chrom:

"-Dark Souls 2/3 on switch.

-Xbox presentation will have a lot of focus on GamePass and a lot of the games shown in the showcase will be coming to gamepass. This will include Scarlet Nexus which will launch on gamepass.

- Goku will show up at E3 because he always does.

-Elden Ring won’t have a trailer at E3 but will have a presence at E3 anyways due to the trailer being at Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Mess.

-Bam Ham Asylum on Nintendo Switch

-Forspoken and Babylon’s Fall will take up a significant chunk of SE’s presentation."

My friend and excellent game reviewer, Chris/ Mykonosfan:

"I'm going to go with dumb predictions just because safe guesses are less fun. Plus I get to look like a fool if any of this does actually happen!

-Ubisoft will find a way to put Sam Fisher into another game without announcing a new Splinter Cell.

(This already leaked days after he made this prediction, lmao.)

-Gearbox will make a passive aggressive joke about their entire schedule leaking.

-They'll show Everwild (again) without really conveying what that game is (again), with no date on it still.

-Square Enix will announce a Final Fantasy I - VI collection and charge $60 for it.

-Capcom will vaguely tease a new Phoenix Wright game."

My Friend and Resident Funnyman, Huff:

"Late/Random Switch Ports

-Batman Arkham Asylum/City.

-Something Microsoft (Halo/Rare Replay/-Battletoads/Psychonauts.

Kingdom Come Deliverance.

-Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order.

-Dragon Ball Z Kakorot.

Some older Falcom title (Trails in the Sky/Ys 1 and 2 Chronicles/Ys 8).

-Dark Souls 2.

-Fallout 3, New Vegas or 4.

-Bugsnax.

Microsoft:

-Wolfenstein 3.

Halo infinite trailer + beta.

Starfield.

Persona 5 Royal Comes to Gamepass.

Square:

Forspoken release date:

Babylon's Fall release date.

FF 16.

FF Origins.

Life is strange.

Dragon Quest Heroes finally comes to Switch in the west.

Capcom:

-Dragons dogma 2 announcement.

-Ace Attorney 7.

-Pragmata gameplay trailer.

-Monster hunter rise (PC port or just new version)

Namco:

-Klonoa whatever the fuck.

A rerelease of an older game that is highly requested on modern consoles (Pac Man World

collection, Tales of Symphonia, something like that)

Something fuckin anime.

No elden ring at e3.

Tales of Arise release date."

My friend Rivers:

"Hey friends, and thanks for having me on your article zippy. im not used to writing out my thoughts and predictions like this, but ill try my best :)

My big prediction for E3 2021 (or just summer in general) direct is the 7th mainline game in a popular visual novel series: Ace Attorney 7.

I believe the timing works out well.

for one, based on the capcom leak from november, AA7 is a game that is in active development, and was at one point planned for this year. The game is still planned for this year, then an e3 reveal makes sense. and where better to reveal it during e3 than the series' home for almost its entire existence?

with nintendo, at their e3 showcase.even if we do not see ace attorney 7, i do believe we will see something from capcom at nintendo's showcase."

My friend, Industry Analyst And Streamer HawK/Liam:

-"Older Persona games (such as 3 and 4) will finally come to Switch."

-Older SMT games, such as "Devil Summoner" will also be announced for Switch."

Zippo:

-A new Super Monkey Ball game will be announced during SGF or one of the big two's E3 shows. Sonic will be in it as a playable character.

-Final Fantasy Origin will be announced during Square's E3 show.

-Final Fantasy 16 will get a spring 2022 date.

-Resident Evil Outrage will be at Capcom or Nintendo's Direct.

-Halo Infinite will have a campaign shown, a release date of November, and a multiplayer beta in July.

-There will be a new Dragon Ball game announced at Microsoft's show. Will be connected to the new movie in some way.

-There will be a new Tomb Raider game announced in Square's show. Just a vague teaser, nothing more.

-Starfield will end Microsoft's show, will look just okay, and it'll leave a sour taste in everyone's mouths.

-There will be a Guardians of the Galaxy game at Square's show and it'll look super underwhelming.

Okay, let's move on to the "Chaos" predictions, some of these will cause some shitstorms, hahaha. Expect much coping and seething.

Mykonosfan:

"Gears of War POP! 2 will look great!

Microsoft's showing will include some kind of Banjo-Kazooie announcement, maybe a new game or maybe a new remake, but not from Rare.

"Persona 5 Classic will be announced at the PC Gaming Show, including none of the content from Persona 5 Royal."

(He's a brave one, isn't he?)

Huff:

"-Street fighter 5 final character (either an important character to 6 which is in development, an

SNK or tekken rep, a darkstalker, captain commando, C. Viper, or ingrid are my bets)

-DMC: Devil May Cry SE will come to Switch, instead of DMC4, and everyone will be confused.

-RIDGE RACER IS COMING BACK!"

Chrom:

"-Starfield will be an Xbox exclusive, as well as the big game to finish off the show. and also you’ll be able to clearly see glitches or clipping in the showcase for it.

-Someone will say the word Sus onscreen.

-Bugsnax will be announced for Switch.

-New Tom Clancy game will be an affront to every known law of nature, also God."

Hype Man And Streamer Extraordinare, Fadel AKA Games Cage:

"-MEGAMAN BATTLE NETWORK COLLECTION ANNOUNCEMENT!

-"BANJO AND KAZOOIE ARE COMING BACK THIS E3!

My friend, Matt AKA Govnah:

"Splinter Cell will return as a huge surprise announcement in Ubisoft's Forward event."

My friend and the biggest Twilight Princess stan I know, Vespa:

"-Microsoft and Nintendo will announce a new major partnership of some kind.

-Banjo and Kazooie are getting a new game.

-Master Chief Collection IS COMING TO SWITCH."

Sweatingdog.gif

HawK:

"-Halo and Destiny will have a crossover for the very first time THIS YEAR, featuring weapons and cosmetics from Halo, only for Destiny 2

-Titanfall 3 or a multiplayer focused Titanfall FPS is going to be announced."

Zippo:

-Halo Infinite will look much better, but still somehow underwhelming, and the PR/damage control will once again scorch the internet.

-There is no MHA fighting game. It will be announced that Persona is getting another fighting game, will feature characters from 3, 4 and 5.

-SEGA will announce that they have another Sonic game in development for this holiday and that we'll be seeing more in the next few weeks. Fans will collectively lose their shit. WILL NOT be Mania 2.

-There will be a Final Fantasy collection that features the first six games, and it will be SIXTY BUCKS.

-Persona 5 Royal will come to game pass and PC, Sony fanboys and morons on resetera (AKA at least good 70 percent of the people there) alike will lose their shit. Atlus PR will once again shut down a Switch version, causing another firestorm.

-There will be a major Mega Man announcement of some kind.

Thank you for reading part one! Part two is coming very soon, expect some crazy shit to go down as we get to Tuesday, see you then!

  1. Since the last 2 posts have been analysis and speculation, does this mean that you don't have any new info to leak right now? Because everyone's here for that info.

There's nothing bad about doing blogs about other stuff you like, but just saying, nobody would complain if you put the info alongside the other content in the same blog, like the Nintendo article.

  3. The only problem I see with a Mega Man Battle Network collection is that after 2 they started doing the pokemon dual-release nonsense (blue & white, sun & moon, etc) They could do the first 2, include the WonderSwan and Gamecube entries, and Battle Chip Challenge though. I just wonder if that's too scattered/varied for what they'd be going for.

Final Fantasy 1-6 for 60$ sounds like a nice thing, but I wonder how they'd approach them. Are these straight re-releases of the original NES/SNES games? Do they have any of the numerous remasters and/or updates that have happened over the years? My money would be on the former, maybe with some QOL stuff like savestates.

What I would really love to see is the Tales of series start to participate in some of these collections. Arise seems to be poised to stand as somewhat of a revival for the series, and I think something like a collection/celebration of the original titles would do quite well alongside that.

DmC: SE coming to Switch would be awesome. Simply because that game does not get enough love (Best of the entire series IMO, DGAF)

A new Splinter Cell game would be about as surprising at this point as a new 3D Rayman game. At least we can look forward to more Just Dance.... *finger gun to head*

  7. Zippo, that last one with the Mega Man major announcement and the Sega with NO Sonic Mania 2, is legit or is just a preditcion too?

  8. I would love to see a new Conker game instead of Banjo if that's what people are predicting. Though I would be up for a new Klonoa.
