Just A Quick Update.
Hey, thank you for taking time out of your day to read and keep up with the blog. Let me provide an update on some stuff going on:
-Part 2 of the Nintendo/E3 article will be out this week. I'll be bringing some friends/guests on to give some predictions about Nintendo's Direct next week and a few other things. Please look forward to it!
-I'm looking at making a Megaman article, taking a look at where the franchise is headed for it's 35th anniversary.
-I'll have updated article on the Adventure remakes soon. Still waiting on a couple pieces of info.
-I've been talking to a few buddies about a podcast. Let me know if that's something you want to see.
-I'll be going into other topics when E3 is all said and done. Such as film, the MCU, animation, anime, etc.
-I'm open to requests for things people want me to look into.
(Oh, and yes, getting those Ws on Thursday, a mere seven hours after those self-righteous pricks who don't read DMs that happen to call themselves "moderators" banned me for literally reiterating a two year old rumor that was already known, was one of the funniest, most satisfying moments I've had in quite some time.
Suck it.)
Mind if I ask why they didn't show off that 2D Modern Sonic game over Colors Ultimate if it's apparently releasing this summer? Seems weird to be waiting for e3 or the summer game festival to show off an announcement like that.

ReplyDeleteHave you perhaps considered that he might not have been credible at all. That perhaps most of these were purely lucky guesses. Am I saying thats the case? No. Even I doubt he’s making shit up. But please do indulge the possibility. For all we know it could be the correct one (as much as I want to think otherwise).

DeleteIt's actually not that good an idea to reveal so many games at once. You want the market to focus on some things so you can better advertise what is closer to arriving.
DeleteTake a look at Mario's anniversary:
* Paper Mario: Origami King was revealed on its own. They did not focus on advertising other works until that game was out.
* Super Mario 3D All-Stars was confirmed and promoted extremely. Meanwhile, 3D World + Bowser's Fury was confirmed, but advertisement drew away to focus on 3D All-Stars. Notably saying nothing about what the Bowser's Fury mode is.
* 3D World was heavily promoted after 3D All-Stars had sold well enough. Only now did they show what Bowser's Fury was.
By focusing on each one at a time (admittedly also with the threat of 3D All Stars being limited edition), each sold EXTREMELY well. If they announced all three at once, it's likely Mario fans might have held off on some titles to focus on buying one in particular. It's all about controlling when to hype and advertise the right titles at the right times
but if Zippo didn't fake the 2d modern sonic game leak, why didn't he mention that it wouldn't be revealed at sonic central and that it'd be revealed at another event? and why didn't he also mention that'd the 2d game would be either shown at e3 or sgf?
