Persona 4 Golden Is Coming To Consoles.
So, in my last Persona "article", (Which is being generous, it was one sentence LMAO), you'll notice that I posted *four* Ws.
Why four, you ask? It was a hint. Very few, and I mean, very few people picked up on it. Given that the article blew the fuck up for some unknown reason, I scoured the internet, and I could only find eight people who went "hey, those four Ws probably mean something". Congrats, all eight of you get Prognostication Cookies.
So yes, in addition to Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden is coming to consoles, which of course, includes Switch.
Which one is coming first? Don't know.
Why did these take so long? Atlus.
Look forward to those in 2022.
That's three of the seven announcements down, four to go. There's sure to be more surprises on the way in the coming year. Stay tuned.

The only announcements that are left to make are game related. We got boring trash out of the way (concert, merch, etc.) and pretty sure Atlus doesn't do 2 concerts or events in a single year (unless it's a repeat like they did with the November concert in December). The only other thing I can see them announce is maybe anime for Persona 5 Royal, but I doubt it considering the demand for P5R port.
DeleteAt the very least people are expecting P3 (whether fes/p3p or a remaster), P4G and P5R ports, everything else is just a bonus.

They have secured the domain name, which a hopeful sign, but I don't see it happening soon. They can make a lot of money by simply doing remasters and ports, so I think they'll be riding that out for now.

ReplyDeleteShe said "it may happen" right after. She hasn't proven to have any source of information regarding what's coming and what's not. She's a data miner, not a leaker, and you should only believe her information she data mines because she actually follows those up with some screenshots (SMT nocturne, SMT5, p-channel updates).

Ah well thanks for answering my question but I agree with you. The next persona announcement is in February but obviously I think P3P will be announced there and P5R will probably be one of the last few announcements. I could potentially see P4G get announced for other platforms after P4AU

I also think P3 port of some sort (either a remake, remaster or just fes/portable) will be revealed in February, because P4AU is a sequel to both P4G and P3, so it makes sense to release P3 asap. This dataminer also mentioned she's got some info to share regarding P3 and will do so on Dec. 31st I believe. That's when will see her credibility as a "leaker".
DeleteI honestly don't know what else Atlus can possibly release other than games. They already did concert, and merch will be a secondary thing they always announce after the "juicy" announcement. Maybe a new anime? That's honestly the only thing other than game ports I can see happening.
Yeah honestly, the only thing I can see Atlus doing besides persona ports is probably a P5R anime and close out the last announcement with a P6 confirmation. Maybe the dancing games will also be ported too and maybe a concert featuring songs from the 5 games could happen but that’s all I can think of right now.

DeleteBecause there have been a lot of rumors regarding Persona 5 on game pass last spring. Considering they are most likely announcing 1 thing per game (as you can see with the Zoom into P4 Protag's face and we got P4AU), I expect a big reveal when its P5's turn. I hope it's not Arena because fck that, we just got P4AU and FCG can enjoy that and stop asking for P5U for a while. Majority of people wants to experience Royal anyway, so people are going to go insane if they release another sequel to PC/Switch without main game first.
DeleteRegarding P3, it just makes the most sense since it's a prequel to P4AU and there have been a lot of rumors about it recently. So releasing it before P4AU so people know the full story makes sense.
