Zippo and Friends' Disastrous E3 Prediction Extravaganza (Part 2)

 

 

We're back! It's finally time to get to everyone's most anticipated one: Nintendo. Many surprises are in store with the big N, so let's get started.

This will be the same as before, but with one added section for one game: Smash. 

Smash starts us off:

My good friend, KawlunDram:

"What's up gamers, I'm going to make a prediction based on nothing about the next Smash character, I think it'll be a third party, from a developer and a franchise that Nintendo has worked with for over three decades: That's right, I'm predicting Bill from Contra will join Smash Baybee."

My friend, Vespa:

"I'm predicting a double reveal to end off Smash. My two picks are going to be.

Dante from the Devil May Cry series, and Crash Bandicoot!"

My Brazilian friend, Romeo:

"Hey bros. I wanna thank Zippo for featuring me in this article. These predictions are solely for Nintendo’s presentation as it’s my "area of expertise" so to speak. 

My Smash prediction is that one character will be first party and that no one will be happy with them."

Govnah:

"My heart says Ryu Hayabusa, but my mind says Ring Fit."

Rivers:

"I predict Phoenix Wright from Ace Attorney and Sol Badguy from Guilty Gear because they're based as shit"

Alright, so I'm going into crazy mode territory here, so be aware.  I'm going to predict that we get two fighters for Smash at E3, to finish off the  fighters pass in it's entirety.

I think these two would be a great balance. You have one of the most iconic villians in gaming, and you have Microsoft's answer to Mario. Needless to say, I think both of these would break the fucking internet, especially Chief.

Rational Predictions:

Fadel:

"WIND WAKER HD COMES TO SWITCH!"

"AN ACTUAL EXPANSION FOR ANIMAL CROSSING NEW HORIZONS!"

Romeo:

With Smash out of the way, here's what's running through my mind:

"I think all those games mentioned in Zip's nintendo E3 blog will appear. We may get some 2022 games? I don’t know if mario kart will make an appearance, idk enough about whatever mario kart project in development’s status to tell. I think we’re gonna see some third party games like shin megami tensei V and maybe bayonetta 3, however I think there will be a strong focus on 2021 games, like E3 2019, with possibly some big 2022 bombs, like how we got a NMH3 reveal in 2019."

HawK:

"My prediction is that this new 2D Metroid will be based off of the canceled Metroid Dread, so much that it will be the games' actual title."

Please welcome another special guest, Games Industry Insider And Game Historian, Liam Robertson:

"I would be very surprised if we don't see some Metroid this year. I know MercurySteam has some unannounced projects and I get the impression one of them is more 2D Metroid. Samus Returns performed well enough and the rumours are there. I think there'll be a decent helping of Zelda, too. Breath of the Wild's sequel is inevitably going to show up, but I suspect that'll be out next year, so maybe they'll announce some more HD ports in its place for the anniversary. A new DK game is heavily rumoured to be coming and we haven't heard from the Mario Kart team for a while so maybe they'll have something to announce, as well."

Govnah:

"I think the bold e3 game reveal will be a new wario ware and the “story” is a rival micro game company is trying to take over diamond city and it’s run by Waluigi, Parodying console wars and consumerism in a way. It gets waluigi into the wario ware universe but without him just randomly showing up."

Mykonosfan:

"Nintendo will show Prime 4 but will not show a date for it, and the Prime Trilogy will not be mentioned. And Pokemon Legends Arceus will be shown during the Treehouse segment and have precisely one awkward technical hitch."

Zippo:

-I think Smash will start off the direct, and then I think the final character will be closer to the end.

-I fully believe Metroid V will be here, and set for a September release.

-Super Mario Party 2 will be announced, and will have online play for every mode. 

-Zelda will have an anniversary section towards the end, talking about all of celebrations planned 

-Both mainline Pokemon games will get new trailers.

-This 2D Donkey Kong is very much real, and we'll see it for the first time in this direct. It will be an early 2022 game.

-Either Fire Emblem 4 or 6 will be announced as a remake. August release.

Chaos predictions:

Another good friend, and Resident Quiet Man Stan, Matt/AShadowLink:

"I predict that Breath of the Wild 2 will be absent from the show."

(He's not baiting, by the way.)

Rivers:

all 4 games cost 60 bucks and they all come with large sized amiibo, 25$, all of which give you god mode :)"

My good friend, and Youtuber Raio:

"Similar to the 'special surprise' in 2019 with BOTW 2, ninty shows off a gameplay trailer of what Retro has done so far with Prime 4.  Just a small teaser.  Nobody knows/hears about it because it's something they tag on at the last minute to avoid a leak."

Vespa:

"My crazy, off the wall prediction is that Midna will reappear and play an extremely integral role in Breath of the Wild 2. Possibly even as a playable character."

Fadel:

"MARIO KART 8 DELUXE WILL GET DLC! SOMEHOW, SOME WAY!

"WE WILL SEE A 3D KIRBY GAME FOR THE FIRST TIME!

"FIRE EMBLEM THREE HOUSES WILL GET A DIRECT SEQUEL!"

Zippo:

-Nintendo will announce some sort of firmware update.

-Bayonetta 3 will again be a no-show.

-Pokemon DP and Shin Megami Tensei will be the holiday titles. 

-Breath of the Wild 2 will get a March 2022 date. Confounding many.

-A new Mario Kart "something" will be near the end of the show. 2022 release. 

-We will get a first look at Metroid Prime 4 to end the Direct.

Update 06/14/21:

Felt like adding a few more.

-Fall Guys will feature a Mario costume.

-There will be some sort of major third party

exclusive shown.

And there you have it. We've got a lot of predictions. In a mere two days, we'll see who was right, and who was wrong. I'm trembling with excitement. See you then!
